I am originally from Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A in humanities. I then earned my Master’s degree from Harvard, in which I focused on the history of American religion. After a career as a healthcare recruiter, I recognized my calling as an educator and pursued my teaching license at MSU Denver. I specifically sought opportunities to teach Middle School because I find this demographic to be curious, funny, and fabulously quirky. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my spouse and two sons (also DPS students), jogging with my rescue pup, and taking oppressively hot yoga classes. During the summer, I love visiting my extended family in Northern Michigan. I adore the mountains, but I am still smitten with the Michigan mitten!
