I am Alejandra Rozo, and I joined Merrill Middle School in 2020. I am from Colombia, “Tierra Querida,” which means Cherished Land.
I graduated from Flet University with a major in Theology, and I finished my master’s degree in Urban Education with a Specialization in World languages (Spanish) from Jersey City University. In Colombia, I graduated from UNITEC with a major in Tourism Administration, and I completed the pedagogical preparation program as a teacher required by the Colombian Government.

I have taught a second language for about seven years in elementary and high school grades. During the time I lived in Colombia, I taught English.

I enjoy participating in festivals, concerts, and different activities that allow me to learn from other cultures outside of the classroom. I love visiting museums, traveling, and reading. I also enjoy watching a game of soccer and basketball. Believer or not, I also enjoy watching an American football game, even though I still need to learn more about this game.
