Indian Education at Merrill
Merrill Indian Ed students were recognized on the The We R Native website for submitting written entries on the topic of What Do You Look For in a Relationship? Originally, all of the entries submitted by the following students were put online:

- Loriann Wilson
- Wesley YoungDog-Shepherd
Carmen Gallegos (Little Thunder) won $50 for second place and Chenoa Francis won $25 for third place.
