Stretching and Shrinking: similarity and problem solving using fractions, decimals and percents 

Comparing and Scaling: rates, ratios and proportions

Accentuate the Negative: computation of integers

Moving Straight Ahead: introduction to linear algebra

Filling and Wrapping: surface area and volume

What Do You Expect?: experimental and theoretical probability

Pre-AP Honors Math Curriculum
Units/Materials/Expectations

The honors math curriculum is an in-depth approach focusing on application of key concepts.  Students in the honors program will be expected to demonstrate a thorough understanding of mathematical standards by doing unit projects, presentations and extended writing with an analytical focus.

Students will complete the 7 regular CMP units along with the following unit:
Data Distributions: analyzing statistical information

Successful completion of the honors math program will prepare students for accelerated and honors courses in the future.
