Merrill, a school of international and local students, focuses on foreign language and cultural studies. Our philosophy incorporates a study of language, culture, and global examination through small communities of learners in grade level cores. We have a full range of elective opportunities that enhance the core curriculum.

Gifted students' needs are addressed by enrichment courses at all grade levels and through diversification in regular classrooms. Special education students have support in mainstream classes and resource classes as needed. Academic based clubs and the complete Nuggets/Avalanche Prep League sports program support achievement for the entire school population.

At Merrill we strive to create a healthy balance between academic rigor, social interaction and extra-curricular activities.
