MERRILL PARENT GROUP - (MPG)

Welcome new and current Merrill Parents.

We are very excited about beginning another PTSA year at Merrill and we are eager to get focused on upcoming needs for our teachers, staff and the growth of all of our Merrill students.

Our MPG monthly meetings are held at Merrill on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 6:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.  We appreciate and encourage Parent participation at our meetings.  Our success depends on Parent involvement.

January meeting:

Reminder:  This Thursday, January 21st, is our monthly Merrill Parent Group Meeting from 5:30 to 7:00 in our Merrill Library.

Martha Wilcox, our Merrill Technical Specialist, will be our guest speaker.  She plan's to discuss "dangers of Facebook and our Middle Schoolers".

If there is time, we will follow up with the rest of the Agenda below.  We also need to vote on whether we can have our February or March MPG meeting at the Tavern at Wash Park, as a great "thank you" to them for their generous contributions with the teacher conference dinners.

Agenda:
Guest Speaker:  Martha Wilcox
Update on how the Dec. Fair at Barnes and Noble went;
Update on the 5th grade Cory Parent night hosted by Michele Olree, Susie Sundeen and Leslie Valdez;
MPG food donation assistance at the Spring Merrill International Festival.

I hope to see you all there.  We really need more parents to join in on our MPG meetings, especially since we need to vote for new officers in a few months.  Please support the MPG and plan to attend our monthly meeting on the 3rd Thursday's of the month (accept March, because of CSAP's, our meeting will be March 11th).

Thank you.
