At the recent Denver Mayor’s Youth Award ceremony, twenty students received awards from the mayor’s office. Two of the recipients were Merrill’s own, ChoCho Htay and Honey Hadafo. Sponsored by the Mayor’s Office for Education and Children, the Mayor’s Youth Awards began 24 years ago as a way to recognize young people for showing fortitude, making the right choices and turning their lives around.
Congrats to ChoCho and Honey. Job well done, reward well deserved.
